recently had a CSC conversion to a 2010 GL 1800. The forks appear to need help- less than 2.5″ ground clearance and 2.5″ of fork travel. The forks will bottom out on rather small highway bumps. I am looking for a solution: IE, different springs, cartridge forks, etc.

One thing that helped me was to add fork extenders to the top of the fork tubes. They raised the front end about 1 1/2 inches.

You might also might want to consider a Race Tech fork emulator kit.
