Yamaha Motor Co. Lowers Profit Forecast

Blaming financial conditions in the United States as well as high crude oil and raw material prices, Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd. ,who is the world’s second largest motorcycle manufacturer, has revised its forecast financial results for fiscal 2008.
Yamaha officials say “business conditions surrounding the Yamaha Motor group remain worrisome… In this environment, demand for motorcycles in Japan and Europe is projected to decrease in 2008, while in North America the demand is forecast to remain about the same as 2007.” Read more »
