Battery Powered Motorcycle Runs a 1/4 Mile in 7.824 Seconds @ 186MPH!

Back in September, 2007 the aptly named KillaCycle, made headlines when a video (linked below) was posted showing owner Bill Dube crash during a display at the LA Wired NextFest.

Final Tribute To Evel Knievel Announced

The Knievel family has announced the final tribute to Evel Knievel will take place next week.

A Public service will be held for family, friends, and fans on Monday, December 10th, 2007 at the Butte, Montana Civic Center.

Evel Knievel was best known for his unsuccessful 1974 attempt to jump Idaho’s Snake River Canyon on a rocket-powered cycle.In recent days, Evel Knievel and Kanye West announced that they reached a settlement last week a over West’s 2006 rap video ‘Touch the Sky’. Evel Knievel had filed a lawsuit claiming trademark infringement. Kanye had maintained the video was a satire. The pair did not release the terms of the settlement.

MARRC Donation Helps Improve Motorcycle Track Safety

marrc logoThe Mid Atlantic Road Racing Club (MARRC) announced on Tuesday that they have donated $3000.00 to the Motorcycle Road Racing Association WERA. The donation will assist in the purchase of an Air Fence system for use at Summit Point Motorsports Park in Summit Point, West Virginia.

WERA intends to purchase multiple sections of Air Fence that will be stored at Summit Point. The new system will be available to any motorcycle group who wishes to use it at Summit Point.“Airfence are soft-wall safety barriers. They are designed and manufactured by Airfence Safety Systems (Australia) Pty. Ltd. and used extensively in motorcycle racing to protect riders from hitting hard walls or objects in, or after, an accident. They are suitable for all applications where people need protection from hitting hard surfaces”.
